Yoke Platform
Cookie Notice
The cookies Yoke Platform sets and what each one is for.
1. The short version
Yoke Platform ("the Platform") uses two cookies. Both are strictly necessary for it to work: one keeps you signed in, and one remembers that you have already seen the cookie banner. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not allow anyone else to set cookies through the Platform.
Because both cookies are strictly necessary for a service you have asked for, we are required to tell you about them, but not to ask your permission for them. That is why the banner asks you to acknowledge this notice rather than offering you an accept-or-reject choice.
2. The cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Type | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
_project_loop_session |
Keeps you signed in as you move between pages, and carries the security token that protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Without it you cannot sign in at all. | Strictly necessary | When you close your browser |
cookie_notice_ack |
Remembers that you have acknowledged this notice, so the banner is not shown to you on every page. | Strictly necessary | One year |
Both are first-party cookies — they are set by the Platform itself and are
not readable by anyone else. The session cookie is encrypted and signed, is
marked HttpOnly so that scripts cannot read it, and is sent only
over an encrypted connection.
3. What we do not use
- No analytics or measurement cookies.
- No advertising, retargeting or social media cookies.
- No third-party tracking of any kind.
- No cookies that follow you to other websites.
4. One third-party request
The Platform loads its typeface from Google Fonts. This does not set a cookie, but it does mean your browser makes a request to a Google server, which will see your IP address and browser details as part of that request. Nothing about who you are or what you are looking at is sent.
5. If this changes
If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary — for analytics, for example — we will not set it before asking you. The banner will become a genuine choice with a working "reject" option, this notice will be updated, and its version number will change so that you are asked to read it again.
6. Controlling cookies yourself
Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies; the instructions are in your browser's own help pages. Be aware that blocking cookies for the Platform will stop you being able to sign in, because the cookie that keeps you signed in is the one you would be blocking. There is no way around this, and it applies to any site that requires a login.
